Marshall
Scholars Program
Are you a citizen of
Marshall County, Tennessee wondering how you will pay for
education after high school? To help with this problem, the
Marshall Education Foundation and concerned members of the
community created the Marshall Scholars Program. In
November of 2005, the Marshall Education Foundation launch
the Marshall Scholars Program in an effort to encourage
students to responsibly finance their post-secondary
education. The Marshall scholars program ahs been
created with the goal of increasing the number of high
school students in Marshall County who continue their
education at post-secondary institutions such as technical
schools, community college, and universities through
scholarships and financial aid support services. These
services are targeted to juniors and seniors, with career
guidance intended for younger students.
The process is tailored
to the individual needs of each student. This
one-on-one interaction allows students to be paired with the
best scholarship and other financial aid options for them.
This increases the likelihood of receiving funds that can
make the difference between attending or not attending a
post-secondary educational institution. In order to
facilitate this interaction, the scholarship coordinator
will be at each of the three county high schools once a week
to help pair the student with the appropriate financial aid.
