Dual Enrollment

1. What is Dual Enrollment?

High school juniors and seniors have the opportunity to participate in college classes offered during the fall and spring semesters each year while simultaneously attending high school.

The Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant program is defined as a grant for study that is state lottery program funded and awarded to students who are attending high school and who are enrolled in college courses at eligible postsecondary institutions for which they will receive college credit.

2. What is the role of the Marshall Education Foundation?

The Marshall Education Foundation has supported public, private and home-schooled high school students from Marshall County since the beginning of its involvement in this vital education program. The Marshall Education Foundation covers the tuitions costs beyond what is covered by the Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant for one class per semester.

The Marshall Education Foundation works closely with Marshall County guidance counselors each semester. Students may receive up to six higher education credit hours annually by participating in the Dual Enrollment program. In Marshall County, the eligible postsecondary institution is Columbia State Community College.

5. Let's Talk Money.
